Production Stills
Below is a short clip which consists of evidence of us recording a scene for our trailer, we can see the crew and cast together filming scenes and also having brief discussions as the director is narrating them on what they should be doing and how. In mainstream films activity like this is also associated as 'behind the scenes' as we see the characters when not in their character.

Possible Locations
Below is a short clip of the possible locations which were options whilst shooting. The images were taken at one location near the M4 bridge outside Heston as the location is a forest which also would have been suitable for our film trailer. Due to the change of our storyboard this location didn't best suite our narrative.
Location Pictures
Below is a clip of the images me and my group have taken of the locations we would record our trailer scenes, this helped us to create clear understanding of the different settings of horror trailers and how we should challenge them within our trailer...
Production Logo
This is how our group came up for the idea of creating our Production Logo as this short clip shows how we formed the idea and how we started creating more attention to detail within it. The production logo would then be featured on our trailer and poster to show the uses of synergy.

Music For Trailer
When considering sound which would be included
in our trailer, our group had to consider and brainstorm many ideas which could
reflect on having the right type of background music which can set the right
atmosphere that we want the audience to feel. Through websites such as YouTube I
searched for many horror soundtracks which I found as this gave me the right
idea as to what would be the ideal sound track to include within our trailer.
Below are links to soundtracks which would be best suited for our trailer.

Intertitles
As researched on my trailer analysis it is vital for a
trailer to consist of some Intertitles which help the audience understand
various elements of the trailer. They would also be used to build and emphasis
on tension which anticipates the audience. Below are two Intertitles used
within movies as I would be discussing on what effects they have towards the
audience.
‘The Dark Knight Rises’
‘The Dark Knight Rises’
The Dark Knight Rises’ is an anticipated film for most viewers, mostly as it orginates from pervious ‘Dark Knight’ films. When the audience are introduced to this intertitle ‘From Christopher Nolah’ this intertitle would directly attract the audiences in which would be familiar to all Christopher Nolah films as audiences would know what style of genre the movie would be and also how good of a film it would be overall.
‘Men in Black 3’
Although this intertitle is very bold and clear with its
large font and clash of black background with white typeface it straight away
helps the audience figure out the narrative by telling them the story before
previewing after the first half of the trailer. Although this intertitle is
very bold and clear with its large font and clash of black background with
white typeface it straight away helps the audience figure out the narrative by
telling them the story before previewing after the first half of the trailer,
this greats anticipation and also the director makes it easier for the audience
to understand the narrative.
After looking at a variety of trailers from both horror genres and others I gathered that black and dark backgrounds are always used for Intertitles as this makes the font stand out clear and makes it look effective as it fits in the centre of all left hand thirds. Also the font colours which are used are seen to be of bright colours making the intertitle more appealing and also setting the atmosphere around the audience. Such as a red typeface with a black background would be something in which our group would considering keeping as a Housestyle theme as the colour connotes the horror genre also making the typeface stand out and easier to read.
After much group discussion we decided that our trailer would consist of 10 very brief Intertitles as each would give only a very small idea of the scene away after showing small clips of different scenes as this was ideal to make the audience apprehensive and inquisitive about what happens next. ‘There once was a phenomenon about three girls who didn’t answer the call and this summer history would repeal itself’. This whole long sentence would be split into 5 Intertitles which generated 5 small clips which would help establish the narrative in a positive way. Also by adding the names of the characters makes the audience become more aware of whom they are and if they are established and recognised actors.
- There once was a phenomenon
- About three girls
- Who didn’t answer the call
- And this summer
- History will repeat itself
- Staring…
- Holly Middleton
- Gretchen Luna
- And Faheem Butt
- Will you answer your call?

Film Titles
Choosing an appropriate and suitable name for the film is
very important due to many factors. By having the perfect name establishes how
well the movie would be recognised to its targeted audience and how the name of
the film associates with the narrative as this becomes a daunting task for
mainstream directors. Choosing a film name for our group was difficult as we
had to carefully consider the title on the bases of the narrative of the film
and also one which would capture the attention of the audience. Below are the
lists of names we considered keeping as the title...
‘Blocked’
‘Withheld’
‘Mystery Caller’
‘The Myth’
Out of these four film titles we casted a ‘class vote’ which consisted of 10 people and decided that ‘Withheld’ would be a unique and appropriate title to have as the title has never been opposed to link a mainstream film as it also highlights that the phone calls in the trailer are all to be from an ‘Withheld’ number as this emphasises on the title. The feedback which was given to the other titles was that the title ‘blocked’ sounded too boring and very less informative about the film. The title ‘Mystery Caller’ was associated to many previous films towards the same genre and also the same storyline to our trailer. At first we preferred ‘The Myth’ to be a perfect title for our film but then whilst researching found that a mainstream movie already exists of this name which was released in 2005 and due to copyright infringement law we couldn’t use this title.

Staff List
The staff list is a list of duties which were split between all eight of the main cast and crew, as each duty was ones responsibility as they would have to ensure that disruptions would take place within their departments. This was to ensure the quick and hassle free recording for our group as any issues could be time consuming. They were many different aspects which needed to be focused on before recording and were evenly spread out between each other.
Filming Schedule
This is a brief 'Filming Schedule' which was produced by our group in the events of recording, as this sheet recorded when the shooting would take place for each scene and where the location would be set. Also informing everybody about the props which characters would need to have at the time of shooting as each individual is told about this, and also the equipment and the list of crew which would be needed at the time of shooting.

Risk Assessment #2
This is the 'Risk Assessment' form which all cast and crew would be needing when shooting in our second location of 'Heston Park'
Risk Assessment #1
As a form of pre-production paperwork a 'Risk Assessment' was created by our group which would help us ensure of the risks which could become a threat whilst recording our trailer. The risk assessment would include basic information about our film such as 'Directors' and 'Producers' and also with where we would be recording and the possible hazards which could disturb us from recording. Once discussed these hazards we would brainstorm potential solutions which would help us to resume our recording when disturbance is occurred. In case of any medical emergencies important emergency service numbers had to be noted such as the Ambulance and Fire Brigade.
Daily Filming Sheet #1
The daily filming sheet was created by our group which would help us prepare for when all the cast and crew go out to record. Each daily film sheet would include the days we would record, the location we would be shooting at, what scenes we shall be shooting, the cast and crew that should be present at the time of recording, any props which would be needed for the scene and also any reminders for our crew to avoid disruptions during shooting. Three daily film sheets were produced and were handed to each individual that was involved in our movie.

Animatic #2
This is a second animatic from my second storyboard as my group would be following the sequence of shots as showed in the video as this would act as a guideline for our trailer...
Storyboard #2
After much consideration our group decided to change our storyboard as our previous contained to many scenes which are not conventional within teaser trailers. We decided to produce a shorter storyboard with each scene giving new levels of tension and suspense and more anticipating for the audience to watch...
Anamatic #1
Storyboard #1
I have presented a storyboard consisting of many scenes which would be established within our film trailer as each scene has been carefully hand drawn as our group would focus on presenting each of the scenes within our trailer as shown...
